The beaches in and around Saint Cast
Superb beaches and intimate creeks, a wild coastline and sheltered havens…lovers of beaches and coastal landscapes will be enthralled !
Camping Château de Galinee is only a short 5 minute drive from some fine beaches.
- The Grande Plage: this is the 'town' beach in the centre of Saint-Cast. An enormous expanse of fine sand, this is a great beach for all the family. There are beach clubs and the Sailing club/school is also located here.
- The Pen Guen Beach is the second wide beach in the area and is located between the La Garde and Bay Headlands.
- The Quatre Vaulx beach is located near to the oyster zones and is particularly good if you want to look for cockles !
- The la Mare, la Pissotte and la Fresnaye beaches : these are smaller, more intimate beaches. They give a great view over to Fort Lalatte.
- The la Fosse beach is the located at the western extremity of the peninsula and is more harder to get to.
Beaches in Dinard
To the east the town of Dinard boast some superb beaches.
The most frequented, the Ecluse beach is great for families with a variety of activities.
The Prieure (Priory) beach affords great views across to Saint-Malo.
Heading out nortwest of Dinard via the coast road lies the Saint-Enogat beach, also great for families. Many superb 'belle epoch' villas line the beach cliffs and you have a great view of the numerous small islands and rocky outcrops jutting out of the sea.
Beaches in Saint Jacut
Saint-Jacut, a 10-minute drive from Camping Chateau de Galinee has no less than 11 beaches !
Most of the beaches have great views across the water to the rocky Ebihens archipelago.
This area is great for kite-surfing, windsurfing and sailing.

Beaches in Erquy
To the west of Galinee and Saint-Cast, the coast around Erquy, another seaside town, offers 10 beaches of fine sand. Here the Lourtouais beach is an official nudist beach.
