Flat Cancale oysters

Oysters

Brittany's coastline is perfect place for fishing activities. It's also one of the world's foremost regions for oyster production, partly because of the tidal ranges and currents which ensure a flow of nutrients.

Brittany oysters are a gastronome's delight and production remains in the hands of small artisan producers who respect traditional breeding methods.

There are 13 distinct types of oyster in Brittany : the Aven Belon with a slightly nutty flavour; the Quiberon from the south of Brittany, with a very fleshy aspect; the Cancale with a particularly pronounced 'fresh sea' taste; and the Belon, a flat oyster famous for it's slightly nutty and woody taste.

Oyster lovers will find a stay at Camping Chateau de Galinee is a chance to discover more about our superb regional oysters.

Bretons are proud of their culture and very proud to be Bretons !

This is the reason why a Brittany company decided to launch it's own Brittany cola to prevent the world-famous brands from imposing another culture on the region !

Breizh cola now holds 10% of market share in the region and is number 2 to Coca-Cola and many patriotic consumers will only go to establishments where the Breton version is served !

In many places, especially music festvals and traditional bars you will only find the Breton version.
