


Saint Cast Le Guildo
A wonderful seaside resort
Saint-Cast Le Guildo (Saint-Cast for short) is a seaside resort that has its origins in the 19th century. A family resort, Saint-Cast is reknowned for its 7 beaches ad beautiful bays and coastline.
In addition to the beaches there is some inetresting architecture with picturesque chateau like the Guildo chateau.
Saint-cast is also a good starting point for a number of coastal walks including the GR34 coastal path which crosses some beautifully preserved wild terrain.
Saint-Cast also boasts a golf course, a tennis club, a riding centre, a sailing centre as well as its markets, shops, bars and restaurants. A wonderful holiday destination just 10 minutes form Camping Chateau de Galinee.

- "Le Bonheur est dans le Blé" and "Chez Jules" are other creperies (pancake restaurants).
Also worth a visit is the reknowned La Belle Meunière tea house where you can indulge yourself in the house speciality called 'Castin'

In the Mielles quartier there are a number of good bars : le Pot, le Surf, le Square Café, les Récifs, Le Maryland.
Two nightclubs, open in high season : "Le Cabanon" et le "New Beach".
Markets
Saint-Cast
In the central Mielles quartier of Saint-Cast there is a major market every Mondaybetween the 15th of June and 15th September.
In the L'Isle quartier there is also a market every Friday.
Matignon
A market is held in this village, just 3kms from galinee every Wednesday morning.
Walking in and around Saint-Cast
Walks on the well maintained paths around the headlands and along the bay are particularly enjoyable and you'll have some great views acroos to Fort Lallatte, Les Hebihens and Saint-Jacut.
There are also good views of Saint-Cast from the headland along the GR34 walk.

Spectacular tides
Saint-Cast is situated in a region where tidal range is the highest on Europe. The difference between low and high-tides can reach 12 metres.
At extreme low tides yoy have a wonderful chance to go hunting for cockles and other shell-fish. The Quatre Vaulx beach is ideal for this.
